My to-go place for Korean BBQ if I don't want to an AYCE Korean BBQ. They have authentic Korean banchan compared to AYCE Korean BBQ. My sister recommended this place. They have delicious banchan that goes well with the barbeque meat. I usually get the special BBQ combo.

I tried the Korean fried chicken here but would not recommend it because it is not that special. The batter retains too much oil, but the chicken was crunchy.

Tried Korean seafood pancake and seafood. Both were alright.

This mom-and-pop shop is small but has a homey feel to it. Decor is nice. The space is small so can be crowded and the owners don't appear to speak much English, but they seem nice and attentive.

My SO and I ordered the Combination #1 for two people. This combination comes with tenderloin, beef brisket, and pork belly. The portions here are a bit too stingy. There was definitely not enough meat for two people for the price of roughly $45. For that price, I could have paid a few dollars extra for All-You-Can-Eat Korean bbq.

The tenderloin, brisket, and pork belly appeared fresh and tasted like normal meats.

The side dishes included lettuce, marinated sliced green onions, marinated cucumber, marinated fish cake, kimchi,  and marinated jalapeños. Most of these dishes were sweet with gochujang in it. The fish cake was my favorite. Everything else was decent but not amazing.

Overall, this was not a very satisfying Korean bbq experience for me. If I do come back, I'd like to try the bibimbap or Korean fried chicken.

We here last night because my friend said this place is his go-to spot. When we arrived, I've realized I've been here a handful of times for those late night eats. After looking at menu, we ordered the following.

    - Combo 1 bbq meats
    - Seafood pancakes
    - Tofu soup beef
    - Rice cakes
    - Fried chicken

Everything tasted average, the only dish that stood out was the rice cakes, the sauce was so yummy! The cuts of meat was good for the price. Too bad the seafood pancake was soggy, tofu soup was bland and the fried chicken wasn't crispy. Great and friendly customer service, my water was filled all the time without having to ask.

It's hard to find places besides fast food chains open past 9 or 10 PM in South Bay, so thank goodness for Jang Mo Jip being open till 2 AM every night except for Sunday (1 AM!!) and for serving up delicious food!

Highly recommend you come here with at least 3 people (the more the merrier) so you're not stuck just having one or two dishes. They have good assortment of food you can order, from BBQ to fried chicken to hot stews to carby entrees. Generally speaking you can't go wrong, so just take your pick! I like their bonchan a lot as well; the spicy cucumbers are my favorite.

It can be difficult to find if you've never gone, so trust your maps!

Everything we ordered did not disappoint! The Korean fried chicken with the spicy sauce was very crispy and authentic.  The intestine stir fry was amazing (maybe a little on the small side to share) and the gamjatang was decent.  Good place to go for a light, cold Korean draft beer and chicken (yummy chimek!). You can take kids for dinner and then at 9ish they turn down the lights to make the atmosphere more suitable for drinking ^^
